The Splatsin, the first people in this, their traditional territory, called the Enderby Cliffs “Tplaqin,” which means “cliffs.” The Enderby Cliffs is still known as the Tplaqin Trail and carries profound spiritual and historical significance.
PROTECTIVE SHRINE
Many years ago, a farmer who tilled the soil nearby built a shrine to protect hikers. The shrine continues to stand as a place of meditation.
